Irrigation Project, Zambujeira do Mar

This project involved the installation of a sophisticated "Rainbird" multizone, computer controlled irrigation system to irrigate a large area of grass and to provide drip irrigation to many plants and trees. This photo shows a zone valve being installed before it's buried.

The system had to be meticulously planned using computer models to ensure even coverage of a freeform lawn.Wind and topography was also taken into account.

After installation the system was fully tested before seeding began and then programmed to ensure optimum seed germination.

...and the results are spectacular; a large area of lawn perfectly irrigated.
